i never thought being a mommy would mean choosing between eating breakfast or kissing your husband before the baby wakes....or that i would wear a shirt with spit up on it for 2 days in a row and not even notice(or care after finding out).. or that i am capable of going to work while drinking a coffee & answering the phone while also talking on the walkie talkie to my sick husband all while bouncing on my heels so the baby im wearing in a sling stays asleep...

so

so. the sandman has a slipped disk in his back and is out of work and home for the next few weeks. enough said. (ie im going out of my mind)
so. oreos are NOT really dairy free.. and my poor little bluebird is suffering.
so. decaf coffee with a shot of vanilla and soymilk was the highlight of my morning.
and then i heard the sandman singing to the bluebird.
sigh.

target

dear Ava,
even though your only 3 months old..
i like to believe you have inherited my love of cheap fashion & red nail polish & bargains & long walks down aisles & aisles of interesting items...but i guess i was wrong...
since you cry when we enter target and smile when we leave...
why Ava why....
love Mommy

trees

sitting in my office this fall day watching my 94 year old gramma push her 10th greatgrandaughter~ my 3 month old beauty~ in her carriage..
orange & red leaves are swirling around Gramma Luisa's feet and the carriage wheels..
every now & then she leans down to tuck Ava in & smiles.
i feel so blessed to have these kind of days.
and am so happy my little bluebird can know the love of her great grandmother!
like a tree with deep roots i hope one day she will feel as full & happy as i do. sigh.
